My Approach
I believe a strong economy starts with everyday people—the workers, families, and entrepreneurs who make our community thrive. Building from the bottom up means ensuring that every working person has access to family-supporting wages, benefits, and opportunities to grow. Building from the middle out means strengthening the backbone of our economy—the middle class—by creating pathways to good jobs, supporting local businesses, and investing in industries where Montgomery County can lead on the national stage.
When people have real opportunities to succeed, everyone benefits. When young people can see clear career paths, when local businesses can grow and compete, and when families can get ahead without sacrificing their quality of life, our whole county prospers. Economic growth isn’t just numbers—it’s about empowering people to reach their potential and building a community that works for everyone.
I will work hard as your County Council At-Large to achive
- Leverage Our Biotech Leadership: Montgomery County is the nation’s 3rd largest biotech hub. I will double down on our strengths by attracting new companies, supporting innovation, and ensuring local residents are prepared for these high-paying, high-demand jobs.
- Expand Career and Technical Education: Our schools must prepare students for the jobs of today and tomorrow. I will dramatically expand career and technical education in MCPS, so every student has access to pathways that lead directly to rewarding careers in science, technology, healthcare, and the trades.
- Create Jobs Through Sports and Entertainment: A state-of-the-art sports and entertainment facility will not only draw visitors and tourism, but also create hundreds of local jobs—from construction to operations—while supporting small businesses in our community.
- Support Local Businesses: I will increase the number of county contracts awarded to local businesses, ensuring that taxpayer dollars stay in our community, creating more opportunities for Montgomery County entrepreneurs and workers.
