I am a firm believer that public schools should be as strong, as well-resourced, and as effective as the best privately funded schools. Every child in our county deserves that same opportunity—regardless of their zip code, family income, or background.
Today, our schools are under pressure. Classrooms are overcrowded, buildings are aging, and students and teachers are stretched too thin. Mental health resources are limited, Pre-K access isn’t universal, and political attacks threaten the inclusive, welcoming education that should belong to every child. This is not just a policy issue—it’s a moral one.
As your County Council At-Large, I will fight tirelessly to give our students the schools they deserve. I will push for smaller class sizes, fully funded programs, and modern facilities where every child can learn safely and confidently. I will support and retain great teachers by addressing their challenges and ensuring they have the tools to succeed. I will defend inclusive education, because diversity and equity are what make our schools—and our community—strong.
As a vigorous supporter and dedicated advocate for our students, I have spoken out and held our schools accountable at every step. I have fought to expand Pre-K, improve mental health resources, and champion restorative justice so every student feels valued, respected, and safe. I have also worked to make education budgets fully transparent, ensuring families know exactly how their tax dollars are being invested in their children’s future.
Strong schools build strong communities. When our students thrive, our neighborhoods thrive, and our county thrives. I am committed to fighting for every child’s right to a world-class education—and I will bring that commitment to the County Council At-Large every single day. Together, we can give every child the fighting chance they deserve.
